jaysue Posted March 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Hello everyone, we are going to Barbados for an eight night trip and wanted to gather restaurant advice - anything from local special places to crazy fancy places and in-between. We are staying in the SE but distance wise anything goes Thanks in advance! jaysue
Summer Breeze Posted March 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2009 I highly recommend Brown Sugar restaurant for great Caribbean food. We were there for a pre-wedding lunch and had a great time. A bit expensive, but great food, and they have an daily lunch buffet. Check out the website: http://brownsugarbarbados.com/web/
aloisia Posted March 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2009 I looked at reviews on trip advisor and Lois's website.... barbadostips.com We only have one night pre-cruise and there are so many choices! parknchow Posted March 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2009 I was just in Barbados a few weeks ago and staying around the St. Lawrence Gap. Found the food to be very expensive! But I really enjoyed my meal at Pisces which is highly rated by Zagat and also on Tripadvisor. The restaurant overlooks the water too.
Grammar Goddess Posted March 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2009 Hi Jaysue, What a great problem to have! We've been three times to Barbados and eaten at three different restaurants, all wonderful! The top of my list has to be Crane Hotel on Crane Beach. The view is fabulous, the food is great, and the prices reasonable, considering the ambience. We also enjoyed the Roundhouse at Bathsheba, another wonderful view and good food and fair prices. At night, we ate at the Waterside Restaurant in downtown Barbados, overlooking the boats docked there. I can vouch for the frozen daiquiris! The entrees--all six of us had seafood--were excellent. Hope this helps. GG
