What they offer are your basic vodka, scotch , whisky . rum ect.. . Do a search above for " Bar setup list " and you will find it. You will also need to contact the group events person groupeventpearl@ncl.com replace Pearl with your ship...

mpk218 Posted March 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2009 Very sad... I wonder if they'll let me pay a corkage fee for it??? Afraid not ( wine only ). If Sambucca is your drink of choice then " I " would just put a bottle in my checked lugage or transfer it to a nondiscript container . Worst case , they take it away . ;)

glenellen1 Posted March 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2009 I emailed the group department and a wonderful person named Yulexi emailed me back and set everything up -- we ordered Jack Daniels and Grey Goose - I could of sworn Sambucca was on the list. But I never knew how to order the bar-setup before or what the prices were, so you have been very helpful. Now I just need to decide what is the best way to go for us. A bottle of rum for $63 is quite expensive, atleast for me that can buy yhe same bottle at home for $18?! OUCH

I just ordered it at $63. I agree that it is way more expensive per bottle than at home, but much cheaper than ordering drinks at the bar on the ship. Plus, you have the convenience of a leisurely drink in your cabin whenever you want poured the way you like it. Cheers!

But everytime you want another, you will have to go back to the cabin to mix more?! It just seems like a whole lotta runnin aroun to me?! I have a feeling that I would eventually just start buying them from the nearest bar and that would def defeat the purpose of purchasing it in the first place. Maybe we will try it and see how it works. No does it jus come with the bottle of rum or does it actually come with limes, soda........?? It is called bar setup so I just thought?? You can get mixers through room service or a bar, or bring your own from home. This would be a good case to own some rumrunners. With the "cruise kit" comes some cute little 8 oz. flasks that would be perfect to keep in your bag while at the pool.. Heck, take the bigger one if it's going to be a long day. Just keep refilling those, and there ya go!

And no Im not blond!! LOL Hey there! As we are now a little older and unable to metabolize the same amount of booze as we used to, we usually just have a beer or 2 if we are around the pool so running back and forth to the room regularly is not a concern for us. However, I get your point. You may want to see the extra running back and forth as more exercise allowing more eating, drinking, etc.:D

ImADaneFan Posted March 31, 2009 #19 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I have a couple of questions for those of you that have had the bar setup. 1 Can you order your mixers at the time you order the alcohol? And is there a charge for them? 2 If you order several bottles and you use all of a bottle:eek:, can you order another one through your butler? We will be on a 14 day PC cruise and I don't want to order too much, (we have to fly home) but I'm afraid we'll run out half way through. And we can't let that happen.:p We've never done this before. We were in the GV our last trip so the alcohol/mixers were included. This time we will be in a penthouse suite, unless the upsell fairy calls again.:D

Mixers on the ship are regular bar prices--best to bring you own. Refill for mixers in ports you visit if you need more. I have heard you can order another bottle from the butler, concierge or bar manager but I have never done that. Bud Big Green

What kind of mixers are you talking about? If it's juices, you can get those in the morning from room service or at breakfast and just take them back to your fridge. Some folks take smallish pitcher's to put the juices in, instead of just sticking a bunch of glasses of juice in your fridge. Pop can be purchased on board in cans (over $2), or you can bring your own. Seltzer, tonic, etc. probably wouldn't cost too much on board, or you can bring your own. As far as getting another bottle while onboard, I know that with most people, they pay a very hefty price.. I'm pretty sure it's the "per drink" price if not close. BUT.. since you're in a suite, you might catch a break on that.. but I doubt it. It'd be better to just order another bottle for your bar setup and leave the rest for your butler or stewards. So just OS and GV get the free bottles of booze?
tdcjerry Posted April 1, 2009 #23 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Yes, the OS was getting three bottles, I don't think it has changed yet, and the GV gets six. The mixers ImADaneFan is asking about are the same ones they use in the bars, our butler kept our supply full on our last cruise. We also did a bar set up on the Pearl and only had juices to mix with. It looks like the prices are double from when we did the bar set up ( 2 years ago)

We used the Pina Colda, Bloody Mary and Daquiri mixers on our last cruise. We were in the GV and they were no charge. John our butler just made sure we had plenty in the bar. My DH used coke for a couple of his drinks. John got us a blender from one of the bars and Jerry was making drinks for the 6 of us.
