3.5 Star Hotwire in Anchorage

Does anyone know which hotel is listed on Hotwire as a 3.5 star in Central Anchorage - amenities include fitness center, dining, business center, internet, and tennis. It's listed at $165 per night in June - seems like a great deal for Anchorage.

 

I already checked betterbidding.com but couldn't find anything.

Not sure about hotwire, but 3.5 stars on priceline got me the Westmark anchorage for 70.00 usd a night the 15th of May....perhaps this helps perhaps not, just thought i would share in case it did!

I booked our Hotel in Vancouver for this July using Hotwire and Clark Howards advice!!!

Here's what he says and it works almost all the time.

 

1.Research your hotel by first going to hotel+car for the dates you want.

2. The names of the hotel are revealed when you plan a package.

3.Pay close attention to the icons they use and match the icons with the same level of stars you want for a hotel only.

4. Go back to the hotels only page and book your hotel according to the same icons and stars as you saw on the hotel+car site.

This was a new experience for me but I wanted to try it as I have read that you can get some great rooms at a really reduced rate. The scary part is that you are not sure which Hotel it is until you pay for it!!!

After much research and trepidation, I was hoping to get the Radisson near the airport as they have a shuttle to the airport, and YES--it was the Radisson. I figured we saved about $50.00, including paying the $8.00 fee to Hotwire in case we have to cancel (God forbid!!!!)

I used Priceline and got the Extended Stay inn downtown 8th st. No complaints.

My 'guesstimate" is the Homewood Suites or Hilton Garden Inn. Also a 3.5 near the airport was the Millenium.

I got Millenium for $90 on priceline. It is listed 3.5*.
