Connecting in JFK

Have anyone took an Air France flight arrive in Terminal in JFK and transfer to Terminal 3 to catch a Domestic Delta Flight, how much time do you need in between, any do you need to go thru security again? Thank you

There is no airside transfer at JFK so you have to go landside. Try taking the AirTrain but make sure you get on the right one.

passport control, baggage, and security can all be quite slow at JFK. I'd want 3 hours but then I hate missing flights
