SHOULD WE HIRE A DRIVER in COZUMEL FOR SAN GERVASIO AND PLAYA CORONA COMBINATION?

We've pretty much narrowed it down to wanting to go to San Gervasio and a little snorkeling after at Playa Corona. We won't have a lot of time since our ship gets in at 1:00 and San Gervasio closes at 4:00 and Playa Corona at 6:00. I've asked about drivers before but now that we basically only need it for going to San Gervasio is it best to hire a private driver and have him take us both places and wait for us? Will they wait long enough for you to spend an hour or more at each place? Would there be time to see any part of the East side for picture taking/sightseeing on the way back from San Gervasio before going to Playa Corona? Some in our party don't snorkel but wouldn't mind cooling off in the water after going to the ruins where it is hot. Is it possible or way to rocky for just wading? If not enough time or driver won't stop at Playa Corona any suggestions of other sites to see on way back from ruins? Anyone been to El Mirador and liked it?

We havent been to San Gervacio yet but would appreciate some reviews, I heard it is not near what Tulum is? Corona beach was not recommended to us but on the island jeep tour we visitied the Mirador, it is a nice rocky site on the other side of the island to see the ocean. Any recommendations for San Gervacio?
