rain in Progreso

The extended forecast for next week shows rain but still about 80. In the spring, generally, when it rains is this typically a storm that comes and goes? We packed tonight with tank tops, sundresses and shorts. Or do you think it's the all day long drab, gray sky type? Don't know what to expect and have little luggage room to take alot of extras.

We will be there on Wednesday. If it rains we will hope it will be the typical short burst of rain, then clear up. That is what happened in Cozumel (2006) and Jamaica (2008). We will have fun no matter what. I need to go buy some of those disposable rain poncho's to pack, just in case.

Abscent any tropical disturbance, a short shower is all I would expect.

Thank you. I realize rain in a normal climate sucks, but have no clue as to a tropical climate. So different from where I am.
