mdepsmom Posted March 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2009 DH and I are taking our 6-yo DS on his first cruise (Mariner of the Seas, 5/31). We've booked the semi-submersible sub excursion in Cabo (basically a glass bottom boat). Last time we looked at RCCL's shore excursions online, they listed a pirate ship in PV, which was totally up our alley. Last night we went online to book, and were very disappointed to find that that shore excursion is no longer listed. So, we are now looking for a new excursion in PV - we are happy to book w/ a TNT independent operator if someone has a recommendation. We considered the dolphin encounter but, IMHO, almost $300 for 30 minutes in the water is a hard pill to swallow. Also looking for something to do in Mazatlan that our son would enjoy. He's not into shopping/drinking/bus tours :p TIA for any suggestions you can provide.
MnAsMom Posted March 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Is your son adventurous? Would he like Zip lining? would you? If so look into that for an excursion in PV! http://www.canopytours-vallarta.com/info/restaurant.htm Those who are "a little less adventurous" can spend their time enjoying water slides and swimming, shopping at the tiendita, relaxing in the shade, devouring delicious International favorites and Mexican food at Pancho's Last Resort Restaurant, sampling some of the 80 different kinds of Tequila at our palapa bar, or simply basking in the sun. There is always the dolphin swins as you looked up too with the waterpark. http://www.puertovallartatours.net/dolphins-kids.htm http://www.puertovallartatours.net/sea-life-water-park.htm In Mazatlan I've heard talk about Stone Island or just to go down to the Golden Zone and hit the beach there! Here is an interesting site I found just pokin around http://www.mazatlan-frank.com/CITY.html
