How long will the taxi driver wait for you at san gervasio??

I saw a sign on here of the taxi prices and it said round trip from Pier to San Gervasio by taxi for 50.00 or 100.00 depending on number of people going. I was wondering if anyone knows how long they wait for you there? Can you spend a couple of hours? Also does anyone know what the tour guide prices are now? I saw different things on websites, one saying 15.00 for up to 5 and another saying 35. for 6.00 so that is quite a differences. Do you learn a lot more from the guides than what you can read on the signs and how long is the guided tour usually?
