cruisegirl29 Posted March 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Hi, I've been all over the web searching for a large vacation rental for 1 night pre cruise & 1 night post cruise. I've been on vrbo.com, cyberrentals, greatrentals, etc. which has a few available but has anyone else ever booked a large vacation home for a group of 15-20? I currently have several hotel rooms booked but was wondering if I could find something that we all could stay in for the same or lower price. Any suggestions would be great! ancldaca Posted March 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Honestly, I doubt large places would be available for just one night. Large homes are usually oriented more to the week/month rental. However, if you do have 20 people, and assuming 2 to a room, then 10 rooms usually qualify for a group rate at most hotels...
cruisegirl29 Posted March 15, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Hi ancldaca, Thanks for your response! I actually found one home on vrbo.com that can accomodate 20 people & may be able to do 1 night. I just emailed them to see what they have to offer. Also, OT but I'm wondering if you would know the San Sebastion Festival 2010 dates? In 2008 we attended it & the dates were a week later than what they were for 2009. I booked flights thinking the festival would end on Jan 24th so we are staying until the 25th. Thanks in advance! Sue
flapr Posted March 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I believe the dates are 1/17/10 thru 1/20/10. You may want to verify with Instituto de Cultura Puertorriquena: E-mail: www@icp.gobierno.pr Phone: 787-724-0700
cruisegirl29 Posted March 15, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I think they are too. I thought that the last day of the festival was alway on a sunday?? The 17th will work for us too. We'll just have to get on board the ship by 9pm.... Sue
flapr Posted March 15, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I was a bit tentative about the dates I posted earlier. This web site has slightly different dates: http://travelandsports.com/ev.htm Scroll down to San Sebastian Street Festival. To be on the safe side, I would E-mail inquiry to Instituto de Cultura. RayInPR Posted March 15, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 15, 2009 The festival is the third weekend of January, from Thursday to Sunday. So, in 2010, that means Jan 14-17.
