Boarding in Galveston

Once you get to the dock, how much is outside? If you drop your bags for delivery to your room, are they under cover or out in the open? And while waiting to board are you protected from the elements? Weather predicts showers next week and I am not interested in either boarding wet not in bringing rainwear.

the drop off area is under roof... you can normally wait inside the building out of the weather, depending on what time you get there... we have never arrived extremely early, so the waiting area is always open by the time we get there (normally between 11a- 2p). you should be completly dry to get on the ship.....i believe the only time your luggage will be exposed to the weather will be when it is on the fork lift going from the terminal to the ship...a very short distance
