supered Posted March 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2009 I thought that Cafe Jardin was being changed to a MPW restaurant. Can anyone confirm what is happening. Thanks. Matt It is only an MPW restaurant in the evening so supplements only apply then. Breakfast and Lunch are still served. If the MPW offering is half as good as The White Room on Ventura I'll be a happy boy! When we come back From Oceana towards the end of May I can give you more information. MattOsprey Posted March 26, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 26, 2009 We liked The White Room also, but we really liked Cafe Jardin at midnight for a steak sandwich. Still, things change. Matt
LEESRE Posted April 7, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Just back from Oceana and had lots of meals in Cafe Jardin. I must say that the food was very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You pay a supplement for dinner of £4.99 from 630pm to 1030pm and steaks are extra. We found the service to be very good also. They now do Horlicks for the night time drink for all us oldies. LOL!!!!!!!!
CASPALL Posted April 7, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Thanks for that. Did you have a good cruise? (Getting excited about joining Oceana on 25th) How was the onboard entertainment - any good acts? Caryl
LibraLass41 Posted April 7, 2009 #10 Share Posted April 7, 2009 What sort of breakfasts were served, and lunches? Is it like Auroras Cafe B - a bit different than usual danish or fry up in the main restaurants?
CASPALL Posted April 7, 2009 Author #11 Share Posted April 7, 2009 "What sort of breakfasts were served, and lunches? I keep thinking P&O will probably start charging extra for this in the near future- a bit like Ventura's Ramblas (which I also liked but had to pay supplement for!)Funny that the Aurora and Oceana's MPW supplements are SO much less than the other ships. If I hadn't enjoyed my meals on Aurora I would have tried the MPW experience. Tried Ventura but it wasn't that special for the price (IMO - especially now that hubby and I have now retired!) Caryl

LibraLass41 Posted April 11, 2009 #14 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Thanks Lee The breakfasts sound like what we were offered in Cafe Bordeaux on Aurora, a nice change from the brit fry-up, we had a fan of assorted melons with fromage frais one morning lovely and refreshing...
