*Mach* Posted March 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Just got my new Carnival book and what are the cove balcony all about checking out the CARNIVAL DREAM THANKS The Coves (category 7A) are all located on the Main Deck on the Dream. They're balcony cabins but don't have the traditional Plexiglas front on the balcony. Instead, they have a section of the hull there! This is really not new at all. The Fantasy Cat 12 cabins are like this and the Queen Mary 2 has them as well. On Cunard they're called 'Hull' or 'In Hull' balconies. I've got one booked for my sailing in November!! :)
mom2girls Posted March 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2009 I find them intriguing. I'm planning on getting one for my Dream cruise!

TxMaggie Posted March 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2009 I think it's a neat idea. Closer to the water and a balcony to boot! (no diving though, lol!)
cruisinbuddy Posted March 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2009 For those of you who like to hear the ocean at night, that's the cabin for you. And don't forget your fishing rod. :D
