Hyatt or ALexis Hotel?

I currently have reservations for the Grand Hyatt but noticed I can get the ALexis hotel with cont breakfast for the same price($158 govt rate). I Which is the better choice and which is the closest to pier 66? Walkable?

I currently have reservations for the Grand Hyatt but noticed I can get the ALexis hotel with cont breakfast for the same price($158 govt rate). I Which is the better choice and which is the closest to pier 66? Walkable?

 

The Alexis is a smaller hotel, 2 blocks off of the waterfront. I know many people who have stayed there and loved it. Pier 66 is about a 10 minute walk that you can do if you don't mind carrying your luggage, otherwise the taxi ride would be a few bucks.

The Hyatt is in the shopping district of downtown and you would have to catch a taxi to the pier.

If it were me I would go with The Alexis:)

Thanks. I was leaning more towards the Alexis. Breakfast and wine reception included. Not a bad deal. :)
