What to wear when I go Zip lining?

 

In the interest of saving space, I was going to wear my teva sandals, but my DH thinks I'd be better off with tennis shoes, which I had not planned to bring.

 

I was now debating between shorts--which could ride up, and thin hiking pants. Am I overthinking this whole thing?:)

I've seen pics of folks wearing shorts and tank tops. I haven't seen any sandals. Perhaps your DH is right. I'd hate to stub a toe, or worse, landing on a platform.

I'm planning on wearing shorts, tank top and tennis shoes when I go. I'm live in Alaska so it's going to be very hot for me :)! I've rappelled before, but never zip lined. I never had shorts ride up in a rappelling harness.

Be sure to use lots of bug dope though. I heard there's skeeters in the jungle.

I haven't zip-lined myself but have observed from terra-firma...I would go with the shoes. Clothing....well I wouldn't worry to much about that as long as I had my DEET spray applied beforehand.:)

For sure tennis shoes! And pants are better than shorts even if they are warmer. On a blouse/shirt, bring something you don't mind getting dirty. DH wore a tee shirt that he had just bought at another port and I never could get the dirt/cable stain out. Whatever you wear, have fun. It's an awesome experience. :)

I would definetly recomend capris because shorts may ride up and give you an uncomfortable wedgie. I also got pretty grimmy so don't wear white, you will never get it clean again. Have fun!!

My group all wore shorts, and had no problems. Most of us wore our water shoes since we already had them on from water rafting.

I went with the shoes, which I was glad of with the scorpions and spiders in the wild. The shorts may have rode up, I went with some thin hiking style capri's. It was all a great experience!

We just did it this past week and we all wore shorts and t-shirts. My husband wore Tevas and was fine.
