1st time on Carnival - Truimph 4/26

Well, I booked my first Carnival cruise today! On the Triumph leaving Miami on 4/26. Four adults & one 3 year old...in two rooms.

My first cruise ever was in January of this year on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas. We had a great time and were really impressed with Royal Caribbean. I'm hoping that Carnival is as much (or more) fun.

So is there anything I should know about Carnival? Any differences that I should be aware of? Special tips? Anything? Anything? I'm really excited. :)

We have been on both Triumph and Navigator. In my opinion, both have their pros and cons. However, we had a great experience on both. We have done 4 Carnivals and 1 RCL and we are booked on Carnival for July. The increased cost to do an RCL cruise did not seem worth it.

You will have a great time on Carnival just like I'm sure you did on the Navigator.

I think Carnival and RCCL are more similiar than different. Carnival seems to have better bedding and food. Otherwise, entertainment, service, and the 'fun' factor are about equal. I believe I've gotten a bit more 'bang for the buck' on Carnival. One thing - don't start comparing. Just enjoy!:)

I also have been on the Triumph and a different RCCL, Mariner of the Seas, but have been told it is identical to Navigator. Both are a blast but I do have to admit with the price increase the bang for the buck is Carnival. I like Carnival's Shows the best and the constant entertainment around the pool and all over the ship is so much fun!
