lpbabygirl19 Posted March 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2009 This might be a dumb question, but if you are going on an Alaskan cruise on the Spirit will there be an option to swim or use a jacuzzi?
anamanxs Posted March 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2009 From everything I have read they are available, but may be cool.
Powriv Posted March 30, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2009 Depending on when you are travelling, it could be very pleasant and warm. Of course not Caribbean/Mexico warm
mosel Posted March 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2009 On our May Spirit cruise there was one boy about 13 who swam everyday. The rest of us were in winter coats but he had a great time. Cindy
NMCRUISERS Posted March 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 30, 2009 In September , they kept the main pool enclosed. The pool and jaccuzzi were a busy place! Have a great trip and relax!
Bribrittmom Posted March 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2009 One pool is covered and heated. We were able to swim in the outside pool on our Alsaka cruise three years ago as it was in the upper 70's a couple of days. The outdoor pool was heated also I think. lpbabygirl19 Posted March 30, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted March 30, 2009 Thank you very much for the replies! I'm very excited to hear that I'll be able to take a dip, even if it's a bit chilly. We haven't totally decided on the Spirit yet, but I fell in love with the Valor last May and really hope to cruise Carnival again....can't wait to do an Alaskan cruise! I must agree with Kelly, come join our Cruise if you can wait 1 1/2 years. I was on the Spirit last Nov. to Mexico, you will love, love, love the ship. I didn't care all that much about 2 of the 3 ports we hit in Mexico, warm is always good though... but the ship was just so fun, and the crew all were great. I had the time of my life :O) But that also could have been the Company I was keeping :p
law638 Posted March 31, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I have done this cruise and we wore light jackets. Very chilly by the pool. This was by far one of my favorite trips. Don't forget to bring a rain slicker, these did get a lot of use. The Spirit is a beautiful ship, very easy to navigate. I will be on it's sister ship, Miracle in Nov. I hope we fair as well on this ship. Have fun.
