teachswim Posted March 31, 2009 #26 Share Posted March 31, 2009 We have been cruising with the kids the past 4 years out of New Orleans (Galviston for 1 year after Katrina). For our family of 4, even with 2 rooms, it is the cheapest, and most relaxing (yet busy enough for the kids) for us. Enjoy your cruise. jm
Handsome58 Posted March 31, 2009 #27 Share Posted March 31, 2009 out of Baltimore on May 30th.....it was way cheaper then flying into Miami. But back to the thread. I love Carnival because of the price......the bang for the buck......the balcony cabins......the food........the casino......the people working on the ship have always been nice [7 cruises with Carnival and counting].......and really Love them now because Baltimore is just 30 minutes from my house!!!!!!! cruiseapril Posted March 31, 2009 #28 Share Posted March 31, 2009 We enjoy: A good selection of shorter cruises, varied itineraries, good prices, spacious cabins, and good food and service. Also, like having pool bands and hope they continue with this.
mia10010 Posted March 31, 2009 #29 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I live in NY and don't like to fly, so I only sail out of NY. The Miracle currently sails out of NY going to the carribean. I was on the Miracle last year and had a wonderful time, and my son liked it much more than NCL. I think the kids program with Carnival is one of the best. KULPN Posted March 31, 2009 #30 Share Posted March 31, 2009 It suits my personality. I enjoy down to earth, fun people, not keeping up with the Joneses, not having to deal with stuffed shirts.
glrounds Posted March 31, 2009 #31 Share Posted March 31, 2009 SOLO PRICING on Carnival (usually about 150% of the DO price). All others charge TWICE the DO rate. :( Can choose to relax or enter into the events. Great ships (Spirit Class my favorite). Excellent food and service. NEVER EVER had a significantly negative experience. If it ain't broke, why fix it ?
