AndyTheK Posted March 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2009 My wife and I have just booked the Christmas cruise through the Panama Canal on the Coral Princess 22 Dec-09. We are casino aficionados and smokers as well and like to enjoy a cigarette from time to time at the blackjack table. Last year we cruised on RCL Navigaator, who have instituted a policy of "no smoking in the casino on Fornal Nights". This was new for 2008 - there was no such policy in 2007. Has Princess done anything sililar to this? TIA, and shalom Abdy

Ethel5 Posted March 31, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2009 On our last few cruises, every formal night has been non smoking in the casino. I thought so but I wasn't sure about the other nights. Thanks :)
Id rather be diving Posted March 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 31, 2009 At least the last 2 or 3 cruises on Princess that I've been on have been non-smoking on formal nights. As a non-smoker I love it. It's the only time I go to the casino as the smoke makes me really sick. Also, I love not having my formal clothes smell of smoke. I know that smokers feel the opposite, but we have to share. :)

fergie1 Posted March 31, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Just got off the CB a couple of weeks ago. The only non smoking night was the last formal night. When I went in, it was dead. Didn't stay long. fergie
AndyTheK Posted March 31, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Is that a carnal/formal night? If I could type, I'd get myself a REAL job :D (after a 44 year career working with computers and computer people at all levels). To the others, thanks for the info. We will adjust our schedules accordingly. Without being sure in advance, I would venture a guess that two out of the three formal nights will be Christmas Eve and New Years Eve - there will be plenty to do without the casino. meercat25 Posted March 31, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 31, 2009 In general, where are the smoking and non-smoking areas on a Princess ship? Being a non-smoker and a resident of the UK, I welcome the fact that smoking is now not allowed in any public building or enclosed area in the Uk and find our bars/clubs a more pleasent place to be. I know there will be others who disagree!
