Carnival Victory Pier Location???

We are sailing on the Carnival Victory in February 2010. Is the pier that we embark from for Carnival the same pier that we docked at this past February on RC? The pier we docked in was right in Old San Juan. We got off the ship and walked around Old San Juan. Also, we are going down a day early, any thoughts on the Sheraton Old San Juan for the night before? Are there better places? Thank you for your help!!

You'll be at Pier 4, which is one of the piers across from the Sheraton Old San Juan.

You will be at pier 4. Most people say it is a different pier than the one that RC docks at but last year I was on RC and we docked right in front of the old san juan Sheraton. There wasn't any others ships in port that day so maybe thats why we used pier 4. Anyway, carnival docks there.

Were you in port just for the day? Or did your cruise begin/end in San Juan? RCCL uses the Old San Juan piers for day stops, but the Pan Am Pier across the harbor for cruises that begin or end in San Juan.

Thanks for clearing that up, we were on a cruise out of new york and was only there for one day. I have been wondering why everyone says RCC uses the other pier.
