80sramfan Posted March 31, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2009 why would anyone book Carnival to Alaska after this summer? The new itinerary is a total joke and does not give you the real alaska experience.

dsb9938 Posted March 31, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted March 31, 2009 why would anyone book Carnival to Alaska after this summer? The new itinerary is a total joke and does not give you the real alaska experience. You know what they say about opinions, right? I personally am going now because it's round trip from/to the US. Call me cheap or lazy, and call it a joke, but it's better than what I have experienced already. And if I like it, I may do something else. :D
dsb9938 Posted March 31, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I guess Yahoo is truly tracking my searches, one of the ads that showed up on the page just now was to request the Official Alaska State Vacation Planner, which I just requested. dsb9938 Posted April 2, 2009 Author #16 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Okay, so in my eternal effort to discover everything I can before cruising, I have noticed many excursions that are for fishing, or crabbing, and a question occurred to me. How do you get your catch home with you??
dsb9938 Posted April 3, 2009 Author #17 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Not a single answer? I figured with all the people here, somebody had done this.
CruiseCentric Posted April 3, 2009 #18 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Okay, so in my eternal effort to discover everything I can before cruising, I have noticed many excursions that are for fishing, or crabbing, and a question occurred to me. How do you get your catch home with you?? On most of the fishing excursions its either catch and release or catch and eat. It usually says that on the shore excursion info page. dsb9938 Posted April 3, 2009 Author #19 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Thanks, I was kinda hoping there'd be some place on the ship where they freeze it, or cook it for you. I know, pipe dream and logistical nightmare. Thanks again.
realmccoy Posted April 4, 2009 #20 Share Posted April 4, 2009 Okay, so in my eternal effort to discover everything I can before cruising, I have noticed many excursions that are for fishing, or crabbing, and a question occurred to me. How do you get your catch home with you?? We didn't book one thru the ship, but did a private charter that we set up prior to going. We shipped everything home for a fee. They cleaned and packaged everything for us and shipped it home.

dsb9938 Posted April 4, 2009 Author #23 Share Posted April 4, 2009 We didn't book one thru the ship, but did a private charter that we set up prior to going. We shipped everything home for a fee. They cleaned and packaged everything for us and shipped it home. That's great! I'm not much of a fisherman, but if I were to do it, I'd like to keep what I catch. hkolln Posted April 5, 2009 #25 Share Posted April 5, 2009 We booked our cruise onboard the Liberty so I have to pass on the group cruise. Got an onboard credit and a really good rate for a balcony where we wanted it (early saver rate). I'll be on the same cruise (June 22,2010) but won't be partaking in the group cruise. I hope you all have a great time! Even though we're not on the group cruise we can always meet up sometime if you like!
