lpbabygirl19 Posted March 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Plannning an Alaskan cruise and was told that you have to be 21 to go to the casino? Is this true? I am 20 and was able to gamble on the Valor back in May.
Yukon Posted March 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2009 You can gamble in the casinos at 18 - for the bars it's 21.
lpbabygirl19 Posted March 31, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 31, 2009 You can gamble in the casinos at 18 - for the bars it's 21. Is this on land or on the ship? I heard rumors that you had to be 21 to gamble on all Alaskan cruises

wrp96 Posted March 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Yukon, the gambling age on ships in Alaska waters is 21, at least on most cruiselines. That's the only place they change the age.
Yukon Posted March 31, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2009 My apologies - I searched and found no Alaska exclusions

Lookingforfacts Posted March 31, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Alaskan cruises, unlike other cruises, are in United States waters for much of the cruise. The only reason I can think of the 21 year age requirement would be Alaskan law. That would be the same regardless of shipline. You don't want to be in a position where the casino will take your money but won't pay any winnings.
