kls23 Posted March 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Should I be wary of taxi and tour companies that will only quote prices in Euros and not dollars? Karen
agabbymama Posted March 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Not at all, that is their currency. We are the guests, so it is up to us to make the conversion. If they were coming to the states, I doubt very seriously that our companies here would quote in EURO. I booked a lot of my tours with www.viator.com, so it would be quoted and paid in US $ for that very reason.
kls23 Posted March 31, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I should have specified that I am dealing with a St. Petersburg taxi company. I know that they have the ruble, and are quoting me a price in Euro, which I am then figuring into US $. Not at all, that is their currency.
