are things open on Dec 24th?

I will possibly be on a cruise this upcomming Xmas and it is stopping in Belize on Dec 24th. I was wondering if everything is open on this day? and do places close early if so what time usually?

Yes, everything should be open on the 24th. We're traveling to Belize (not cruising) during Christmas and were worried about that. Our hotel assured us that it is high season for them and things will be open. The 25th and 26th are public holidays, but she said it is still likely that many tour operators and restaurants will be open. From what I understand there are 3 huge ships in Belize on the 24th, so I imagine it will be busy!
