Booking tours right off ship

Can anyone tell me if they have taken a zipline tour without pre-booking it. Will be on a Panama Canal cruise in about 3 weeks and haven't really booked any tours yet but have been doing a lot of research. Sooooo many out there. Was wondering if you can just leave the ship and book a tour right then and there without having a reservation if I don't have the time to prebook. I am having problems with my mother in and out of the hospital and don't really want to book just in case we have to cancel the cruise.

 

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I have so much on my mind right now.

We did not book in advance, but we did end up having to wait about an hour for a booked tour to go thru first, and that took up precious port time.

Don't know what ports you will be in, but if you have a stop in Costa Rica there were lots of guides at the Punteras port and many ziplines available. Not a problem at all.
