Arwenmark Posted April 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2009 I know this is a bit of a specialized queston since there are few HC suites on any ships. but for those of US that have sailed in a suite HC or otherwise while using a WC, Did NCL allow you to use the Suite passenger check in line or did they insist you use the HC check in line? Someone posted a review saying that while they were in a suite, and tried repeatedly to use the Suite check in line, [which is in fact the start of the suite experience, and includes such things as meeting the concierge, escort on board etc. ] that they were outright refused to be able to use that line and forced to check in in the HC check in area. I would like to know if anyone here had that experience or what your experience was. Thanks.
EileenN Posted April 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2009 We have sailed with NCL quie a few times in AB Penthouses and Courtyard villa. All times we arrive at NY pier and come thru the Suite pax treatment, with both a wheelchair and walker. Neither time did we use a H/C suite. With the AB and CY villa, we were able to enter the suites with the wheelchair because the door was wide enough to handle a standard w/c. Each also had plenty of room for storage of the w/c. Because we are able to walk short distances, the bath facilities were just fine. :Hope this helps you.
etoile Posted April 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2009 We were only in a mini-suite on the Pearl, so I'm not sure we were allowed to use the suite line, but the fact was that there was no line for HC guests and the suite line had a few people in it, so we went through the HC line and were on board faster than the pax who had used the suite line! My mom could have waited while we stood in the suite line and then joined us for the actual check-in, but we all just walked up to the HC desk and waltzed right on board. :)

Do you think either the Penthouse or CY would work for 3 people + a scooter?
