South Palm Cruiser Posted April 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Have been following the Solstice online, from keel laying to current sailings. Finally sailed on March 29 - connnecting CC cabins, 1247 and 1249, deck 10, aft side of hump. Rather than get into subjective likes and dislikes, we are of the school that any day on a ship is better than a day at work - that said, the cruise was fine - give me a good book, a glass of wine and the privacy of a balcony and I'm good to go. There have been several threads about the layout of conecting cabins, quirks in the bathrooms , etc. A picture is worth 1000 words: Solstice at anchor in Labadee New pier for Oasis of the Seas under constuction in Labadee Corridor - really narrow - had to step aside more often than not Outer double door to connecting stateroom vestibule View into connecting rooms from vestibule To be continued - need another post for more pics

FinelyCruising Posted April 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2009 The corridor does look narrow. I don't recall the deck 8 cabin being that narrow, but it was a week ago....in cruise time that can be a long time. We had a very large angled balcony but no foot rests. Maybe for Equinox when we sail her in November;)

Mysticks1 Posted April 13, 2009 #13 Share Posted April 13, 2009 When using webshots it is easier (to me anyway) to go to the other sizes option to the upper right of your photo. Choose the 600 pixel option then below that will be an option for "direct link to photo" that you can copy and paste into the "insert image" option you see in the list above where you type your new post.
