That's called GENDER BIAS. Most people automatically think a mathematician would be a male. Isn't always true, of course, just like all NURSES aren't females. :D

 

 

Thank goodness other people were thinking this...I could just feel my feminist side creeping out...was seriously considering burning my bra!!;) I truly read the OP as Ingrid being the mathematician.

I know, sit him in the engine room. He (now that I know he's a he ;)) can calculate the speed of the engine by the number of revolutions and he can calculate the decibel and carbon monoxide levels. :D

To each his/her own. My fantasies were clearly all of guys with pocket protectors and slide rules....
