BrookeLH2 Posted April 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2009 I am booked on the Legend for May 3, 2009. We are in a balcony room (6130), which is a category 8C. I did not think it was an extended balcony, but I just noticed on this page it says that it is: http://www.carnival.com/BookEngine.aspx?Step=2 On this page, it says it is not: http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_legend/default.aspx?shipCode=LE When I look at the desk plan, it doesn't appear to be extended, but...? I really don't understand the differences between all these different categories, so maybe I'm just misunderstanding the Carnival links above. An extended balcony would be a nice and unexpected surprise!! :D
BrookeLH2 Posted April 13, 2009 Author #2 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Woops, on the second link you need to click under the "Stateroom" tab and scroll down to balcony room.
WRH1951 Posted April 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2009 6130 is not an ext balcony
Wennfred Posted April 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2009 6130 is not an extended balcony. The whole cabin does stick out further then the Cat.11a suites but the Balcony itself is the same size as regular balconies. Fred

mudpievelour Posted April 13, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2009 6130 is at the front of the ship. Most of the extended balconies are at the back.

BrookeLH2 Posted April 13, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted April 13, 2009 That's a bummer! Carnival should possibly have an additional category then, or change that page to not say 8C is extended...I am staring at my documents from them and it says 8C. Oh well! Thanks

Sangela Posted April 13, 2009 #11 Share Posted April 13, 2009 They never changed it on the website...I brought it up with my PVP when I booked my Spirit cruise a couple of weeks ago. Last time I was on Spirit I had an "8C" which WAS an extended balcony 5110. Now the extended balconies start at 8G, not 8C, but when you're looking at which stateroom to select it will say at the top of that page that 8C's are included in the ext balcony. NOT correct and I told the PVP it should be corrected. So I have an 8D 6138 which is a regular balcony on Empress deck. I agree it's VERY confusing...Used to be easy to figure it out, now it's insane, LOL.

Thanks The AFT 8C cabins are Extended, like cabin 4241 or 6331 etc. Now your cabin 8130, does stick out further but the actual balcony space is not much larger. If you are looking for Balcony space book a Wrap Around balcony. Fred
