What to do after your cruise/before your flight?

Hi! Our Legend cruise is supposed to get back into Tampa at 8 a.m. and our cruise out of TPA doesn't leave for Chicago until 6 p.m. What should we do in the meantime?? What should we do with all of our luggage? We're a 25 year old couple.

Thanks!

You can probably take your time and get off the ship around 10am or so. That will kill a couple of hours.

When you walk out the doors of the terminal, go left. Between the phones and the end of the block, there is a set of doors. You can stow your luggage there cheap and get a shuttle to the airport.

Across from the terminal is an aquarium. It was more for little kids, IMO, but it is something to do.

Around the corner from the terminal is a mall. Places to eat and a movie theater.

I'd rent a car and go to Busch Gardens for the day. The aquarium at the port is okay but not enough to occupy you for more than an hour or two. Having a car always solves the problem of what to do with the luggage and you can go right to the airport later without coming back for your luggage.

We always rent a car for the day before and day we return. Drop it off at the airport. That way we have a place for our luggage and we can drive around and sight see or do whatever!

we always leave out of Port Canaveral and always fly in a day before on an early flight. The day we arrive we usually pick a Disney park and have some fun!

Book a post cruise tour with the shore excursion desk. That way you get off the ship (with luggage) go on a pre-scheduled tour and then dropped right at the airport. No issues with renting a car, getting a shuttle, etc. Maybe the tour isn't exactly what you wanted to do but it beats sitting in the airport for 6 hours.
