sugarforthebooger Posted April 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2009 We are going on the Glory May 2, 2009. Two of us were planning to dive in Cozumel and Belize. I need to get my open water certification completed and am planning to do this on the cruise. I know who to call in Cozumel, but not in Belize. Has anyone taken a scuba diving excursion through Carnival in Belize and if so, do you remember who the tour company was? If not, can anyone recommend a reputable tour company in Belize to use so I can finish my certification?

gill_boo Posted April 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2009 I don't believe you can do you certification dives this way. I believe all certification dives must be completed within the same dive shop because they have to register with PADI that you have completed all the skills and if you don't do them all with one company how would they know. You may want to call PADI or SSI whomever you did you training with and check on this. I would hate for you not to be able to dive, especially since you are going to two of the best places to dive in the Caribbean. Make sure to get to the blue hole in Belize, well worth the boat ride out to it.
2Ports Posted April 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2009 I don't believe you can do you certification dives this way. I believe all certification dives must be completed within the same dive shop We did our classroom and pool dives at home and did our OW dives on Roatan & Cozumel - it's called referral - the dive shop will know how to handle this. We didn't book through CCL, booked on our own before leaving.
