Arwenmark Posted April 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2009 The thread going on about the safety on the Jade, particulary for disabled passengers in this case, makes me wonder if there is a dedicated safety officer on board every ship. If so that is the person one would go to or insist on seeing in a case such as happened to this person. I have had the same thing happen to me and at the time I never thought of a safety officer only the front desk and as usual they did nothing. One other case I had to demand attention before they finally called the Hotel director and once we actually spoke to him and he took our report things went fast. But that was a personnel issue, not a safety one, not directly anyway. So do any of the IN THE KNOW people that post here know if there IS a safety officer on board, OR which officer would be responsible for safety issues if there is not a dedicated safety officer. Tideone Posted April 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2009 There has always been a safety officer on board all the NCL ships we have sailed. We actually ate lunch with one of them on the Star... I am sure the Jade has a safety officer...
