extractfairy Posted April 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2009 My family (husband, 9 y/o daughter and myself) are looking to cruise again. We have cruised twice with Royal Carribean. I have been looking at the Dream and it looks FUN! My question is this: Why do you like Carnival and what keeps you coming back? I certainly do not think one cruise line is any better than the other and everyone will have their own experience. My apprehension is just leaving a "brand" that I am comfortable with (as far as feeling like I know what to expect and familiarity). I notice that some cruisers only stick with one line and some try them all. Any comments/suggestions you can offer is appreciated!
mom2girls Posted April 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I'd say try it! If you don't try it how will you know if you like it or not? You'll always wonder. That's why I tried RCI.
nashwl Posted April 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2009 When you get the chance to take a cruise on a new ship I say take it. Im almost tempted to try RCI just to see the new Genesis class, eventhough it looks like its too big.

We are going on the Dream in February, we have just got off the Emerald princess in February. I thought that a 10 day cruise on a Princess ship would not work for a family with kids, we barely saw any kids onboard. It was mostly for the older generation and I am 50 something, so I mean older than that. The dream has a very cool water slide and is aimed more at familys.
