Weather-Caribbean Mid November

Hurricane Season is officially from June 1 until November 30.

Normally, November is pretty safe. Although the worst hurricane we have ever sailed close to on a cruise ship was the end of the first week in November, so it can happen even that late.

We have sailed in the Caribbean several times in November and the weather has been pretty decent. Last time there was a hurricane just south of us at Princess Cay, but other than being a little overcast, it was fine (our friend still managed to get sunburned) In general, it seemed to be a little more overcast in November than other times, but nothing too bad.

How is the weather mid November? Is that still considered Hurricane season?

We did the Western Caribbean in November a couple of years ago. One of our primary concerns was the Hurricane season. You should be OK by Mid November for sure. The weather was wonderful, the water warm and the drinks cold. We snorkeled, shopped and generally had a ball. Enjoy your cruise

Cheers, Kenn
