Glory-cabins to avoid

Recommended Posts

We had a balcony on the Lido deck #9265 that was amazing! Close to the things we enjoyed and very quiet, I was worried at first but wouldn't hesitate to stay on the Lido again.

This might help too, if you scroll almost to the end~

I plan on booking the Glory, looking at an ov or balcony. I don't want a cabin in a noisy area (or below or above a loud, rocking bar!). Any suggestions?

We had cabin 8445 (balcony on Verandah deck) on Glory in December. We frequently heard chairs scraping across the floor and banging over our cabin in the night. It was loud enough that it was annoying and disrupted our sleep. I would avoid this cabin.

Far forward on Lido or Panorama are great spots. People are afraid of them because they think they'll feel a lot of motion but we've only noticed slightly more up there. Very quiet and convenient to everything.

We actually try to stay away from anything mid-ship. Our experience with it so far there was so much more traffic in the halls, people yelling down the halls to friends at 3am, or coming back from the bars and casino late and not thinking to lower their voices, and doors slamming constantly. It's just so much quieter all the way forward as very few people will make their way all the way to the front of the ship unless they have a room there. With midship you have people passing by all the time so I think it's noisier.

Avoid 9201 if possible. The balcony area outside your window is public and you will not be able to have your windows open...the cabin is TINY! As far as that goes...I would not choose any of the cabins in that area because of that balcony.

Stay away from room 7337..terrible bed. I wrote CCL about it and they did apologize, but I would bet they haven't changed mattress:) I look forward to CCL beds, but this one was just lumpy and saggy:(

have you looked at the deck plans? you can reference what is above or below you by looking at the same general area on the alternate decks.

if switching between views via carnival.com is kinda disorienting, i could see that - you might consider lining up the few decks your interested in via image editing software, if you can - or if not, print out the individual deck plans and line up the papers... black out the ones where you see something objectionable above or below.

that's one thing that's kinda great about the print catalogs, is you can see the decks all side by side rather than via a few windows. and pdfs along the same lines are available online.

here's a link for printing up to 5 deck plans:

Family OV Rooms on Spa Deck rock! Floor to ceiling windows and right by the spa so very peaceful. There should be pics in my Glory review in my sig. We were in 1122 and loved it. There is nothing outside your window (no walkways, public areas, etc.) just wide open ocean.

You can also visit cruisedeckplans dot com they have a feature called something like Drag It Decks where you can load the deck plans of the ship and position them in all sorts of views, it was really helpful when I was trying to pick a cabin for our upcoming cruises. If the decks load really tiny you will have to refresh the page to get them to the correct size :)
