How to send emails on board a ship?

We were on the Diamond Princess in June and we used AOL for our mail. There was a direct link on the Internet Cafe computers to AOL. This year we are going to the British Isles and will probably try and find internet cafes in each port.

Don't assume that will will be able to access the internet while on the cruise. When we were on the Dawn Princess last month, the internet was down for most of the cruise. They even put up signs that said that if you could not access the internet that you would NOT get refunded the amount that you were charged for being on the computers. This was, unfortunately, after the Dawn had spent 20 days in dry dock, but they still managed to sail with a ton of broken equipment and unfinished projects. Not sure why things were running a bit more smoothly after such a longdry dock.
