RuRuLeb Posted May 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2009 I will be sailing on the carnival liberty this weekend, and would like to know if there is texas holdem poker in the casino on the ship? if so is it a live dealer or a electronic table? thanks. JP32 Posted May 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2009 We were on the Liberty in 2007 and they had the pokerpro. Sailing on her again in September, so any new info about the poker would be appreciated, like if they have any tourneys. Enjoy, hope you catch some good cards:D
jayscore Posted May 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2009 Once you have the Poker Pro table nuances figured out, it's like on-line poker. But, remember, it seems to always be "newbie night" at the casino. Have fun!
crazy cajun Posted May 1, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2009 Just be real careful as poker pro likes to bust out multiple big hands on the same hand. saw 4 play to the river and a straight & 2 boats were shanghied by a 4 OAK.
cccer Posted May 1, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2009 I was disappointed the last couple of cruises because only a couple of nights was the table full. Usually there were only 4 people playing. But it does go faster with the PokerPlus machine.
Chucklez Posted May 7, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 7, 2009 They like the Poker Pro as they dont have to pay for a dealer, plus they get more hands in in an hour. personally, I enjoy the feel of chips and cards in my hand. Electronic or 'On-Line' poker to me is juiced to get bigger hands creating bigger bets, thereby increasing the rake the host makes. Last time I was on a cruise with Poker Pro, it was hard getting a full table. Everyone seemed to be put off due to it being electronic.
