J911 - Itinerary change

Anyone had their letter from P&O with a change to the itinerary. Seems there will be too many ships in Flamm and Olden so P&O are changing the route, goodby Olden hello Geiranger. Great, booked specifically for Olden as had been to Geiranger, too late to book anything else as I have already got all my holiday booked and allocated, plus with no kids I don't want to go on a ship in school holidays with children. Have P&O offered anything have they heck. Have put a complaint in but the usual 'you can cancel if you wish, there will be a cancellation charge'!

Why are P&O changing, did they not book their place in the fjord early enough and having to take a back seat to the other companies.

Totally agree. We have booked this cruise for both sets of parents and ourselves as a special 'holiday', we have rec'd no notification re the change. We only found out by chance on another review website. What would have happened if we have booked an independant tour in Olden, etc, would P&O compensated, I don't think so. Very bad show. :(:(

We are also booked on J911 and have neard nothing from pando, we have excursions booked with pando but suppose there will be similar wherever they take us. Not good form to hear on here first and certainly no info as yet from pando.

Not going to let it spoil anything as first cruise and will contact travel agent in the morning juts to get confirmation so we can arrange suitable tours when in harbour, hope it does not mess things up for others too much.

maybe we could arrange a "that port was cancelled" party on the relevant night and send Pando a calendar so they know how to book ports in advance of other companies lol.;)
