My03Sons Posted May 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2009 Can anyone tell me anything about the following hotel: Comfort Inn & Suites @ Stewart Beach. It is not very expensive, so that kinda worries me, but I can't afford anything much more.

I can tell you it started out as a Holiday Inn Express and changed to the Comfort Inn. It is about 4 or 5 years old
CruisinOnWheels Posted May 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2009 We found the Hilton resort (at san luis resort area) on hotels.com for $72/night... hard to beat that for a 4 star hotel. If you call the hotel directly, they will also give you the $99/night rate with no deposit or prepayment.
My03Sons Posted May 5, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted May 5, 2009 When is that for? They double or triple that price once June hits from what I've seen.
cruiselover5461 Posted May 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2009 I was thinking about the Hilton for our late Nov cruise. Has anyone had any problems with leaving their car/truck at the hotel for the week, like being broke into or such.
cruisekwazee Posted May 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2009 There is a whole group of us staying at the Hilton in September. I have read good reviews about leaving your car there. If you have a group be sure and try and get a group rate.
ksatte03 Posted May 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 10, 2009 The Quality Inn on the Seawall is nice and inexpensive. Plus they offer free cruise parking.

It is not very expensive, so that kinda worries me, but I can't afford anything much more. It got kinda trashy after Ike. A couple of years ago, it was a decent place to stay. Nowadays, I'm not so sure. You won't get killed or anything, so if you don't mind subpar service and hearing people run around at all hours, go ahead and book it as a place to stay for a night. If those things are important to you, keep looking.
