Brilliance/Med Cash Access Questions

My daughter (only child) will be signing to work on the Brilliance in June for seven months. She has already done the Liberty Inaugural and a contract on the Jewel, so she is experienced. However, new area, new ship. I am doing detail planning!

 

1. Is the AAA travel card good for cash access? Does it work on the ship to get cash? (Sure, she will be paid, but I want to be sure she is covered) She will have a Visa credit card, but the cash advance fee can be steep. I know some places may not take credit cards, so she will need port money for days off!

 

Any suggestions will be greatly apprecited. You think planning for a week cruise is hectic, try planning for 7 months with a suitcase and carryon!

She might want to call the AAA travel card people and ask them that question. They probably have a website that might be helpful as well.

 

What has she done in the past regarding cash?

She was paid in cash and held it...Now she will be paid into a card. She did use the AAA card in London. Things may have changed in a year and a half that she has has been working on land.
