Princess Kids club - help

I wanted to ask if anyone has been on the Star recently with kids.

 

We want to book a reservation at Sabatini's one night, but obviously we would like to do this w/o our 2 kids (8,6).

 

I don't think Princess has a dinner program like camp carnival does, so we will have to take them to the buffet first then to the Princess club.

 

What time does the club open in the evenings? Is it the same time every night?

 

Any help or suggestion on the best way to do this would be appreciated. We can't miss a night at Sabatini's !!!

We have been on several Princess cruises and they do offer the kid's dinner at least three evenings. You could also take them to Horizon's Grill before heading to Sabatini's! (You can't miss that;)) The kid dinner's start at 6pm.

 

The regular kid's program begins at 7pm each evening and ends at 10pm. From 10pm until 1am there is a fee, I believe it is $5 per hour.

We did this exact same thing - one night she wanted to eat at the kids' dinner, so we dropped her off, had drinks then went to dinner.

 

Another night we took her to the buffet, dropped her off and went to dinner.

 

We weren't expecting to be able to do either, but she absolutely loved the kids' club and couldn't wait for it to open. She ended ended up going there much more than we anticipated.
