gracee Posted May 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2009 This is our first Diamond cruise. We are on the Enchantment of the Seas. Can you share what we can expect from the CL and the amenities there. We don't drink, but we do love coffee and good company!
Hobiecat01 Posted May 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2009 In addition to alcohol, the CL has coffee, juice, etc. They have a nice assortment of appetizers in the evening as well and danish, sweet rolls in the morning and during the day. It is usually a quiet place to take a break. DW and I have only been in the CL on two cruises, both times we got to rub elbows with celebs. One cruise, Gloria Estefan and kids. Another the Osmonds. Also we had a nice conversation with the Miami Dolphns owner and his wife. All were very nice and we all shared our cruising stories. Very interesting to really see that all were real people. For instance, we talked for a while with Wayne Osmond who was out of breath trying to keep up with his kids. That, to me, was the benefit of the CL. Free drinks... ok, free food... it's everywhere. The chance to talk to Celebs... very interesting. ------------------------ Sea ya! gracee Posted May 5, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted May 5, 2009 thank you! I wasn't sure what to expect. Celebrities was not one of my guesses. Hopefully we will have the same opportunity!
peteranddan Posted May 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Hello All I'm sure this is on the RCCL website somewhere, but I can't find it for the life of me! This will be our first cruise on RCCL. We will be on the Brillaince for Christmas/New Years this year sailing to Egypt. We usually sail on Celebrity so have accumulated enough sailing points to come to RCCL as Platinum Members. I believe that grants us access to the CL? Can someone please tell me what the ammenities are in the CL? Thanks for your assistance, and we are looking forward to our first RCCL cruise. hellosailer Posted May 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I think you should check your status with Celebrity. When we became Elite on Celebrity, we automatically became Diamond on RCCL. Only Diamond/+ and suites above junior suites can use the Concierge Lounge. Platinum members do not have access to the Concierge Lounge.
CRUZBUDS Posted May 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I think she has until September ... then out she goes! Enjoy it while you can!
Gonzo70 Posted May 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I think she has until September ... then out she goes! Enjoy it while you can! Diamonds have until September. Then it is only Diamond Plus and Full Suites (suites above Junior Suites) that have concierge lounge access. Platinum never did.

Pumbaamd Posted May 5, 2009 #13 Share Posted May 5, 2009 We really enjoyed Gonzalo and his CL on Enchantment B2B last fall. Not shore who the concierge is now. We especially enjoyed our self-served satisfying breakfast there. Rolls, bagels, toast, meats and cheeses, different coffees and teas, fruit, and more. There were never more than 3 or 4 couples for breakfast at any one time. The Happy Hour, of course, was always a pleasant stop before dinner. Hope you enjoy the CL as much as we did.
