Cost Reductions at Royal?

We just returned from a seven day cruise to Puerto Rico, St Marteen and Labadee on the Liberty of the Seas. The ship departed on April 25. To our surprise, despite continued updates regarding the evolving Swine Flu, it took Royal two days before they started placing the sanitizers throuhout the ship. I thought that this was incredibly irresponsable. Of course, by now everyone else knows about other measures taken by Royal to reduce cost. No more chocolates (which is fine), elimination of the Mexican Buffet, reductions in entertainment.
