Tired of $7.00 Beers?

Hi, we saw some locals sitting in front of one of the duty free liquor shops at the cruise ship area drinking beer. You can go in this shop and buy Grolish beer for $1.25, less for lesser brands and sit and drink them in the chairs out front before you get back on board the boat.

 

We made a few new friends from other cruise ships as well all sipped away before we entered the land of the $7.00 beer:p

 

It's the shop that is in the middle of the area in front of the pier where you tender.

Retail price for the cheapest case (24 count) of 12oz bottles of beer is CI$34.95 = US$43.69. That works out to CI$1.46 (US$1.82) each. That is for out domestic beer Caybrew and not for an import like Grolsch. Buying singles typically costs more per unit.

 

Remember that you can only take advantage of lower duty free prices if you have your alcohol purchases delivered to the ship. You cannot buy duty free for consumption on the island.
