Blackbeard cay treasure hunt?

I was thinking about doing this and was wondering if my boys would enjoy this. They are 6 and 8 years old. Do you really find a lot of treasure and if you do what kind of thing can you buy(get) with the treasure? Thanks!!

At one point, you could trade them in for food at the concession stand, or trinkets in the gift shop..

 

Now, I think they are somehow associated with shoppes downtown. (which is not great.. since you can get back late and the shoppes can be closing).

 

One person said they won something from a jewelry shop, another a different shop in town.
