Fat Boy Posted May 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2009 I've been told there's a small fee to get into Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, but I can't find anywhere online how much it is. I called the park, but got an answering machine (and no call back). Does anyone have an actual dollar amount for entry/usage of the beach there? Thanks! bhopal21 Posted May 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2009 Gates open at 8:00a.m. and close at sunset daily. Guided tours at noon and 2:00 p.m.. Admission is $1.50 for walk-ins. By automobile, the fee is $2.50 per person for the first two people and .50 for each person in excess of two. Mike:)
Fat Boy Posted May 7, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted May 7, 2009 Thanks, Mike! I'd done some more digging and found the walk-in price from 2007, but wasn't sure if the price had moved up or down in the last two years (some parks are dropping some fees right now). Looks like it's still the same. I can do $15 for the 10 of us to go there. And it should fit in nicely with a walking tour of the island. Thanks again!
