Sea for yourself snorkeling in Roatan

We had a party of four in Roatan last week, and hired a taxi driver for $10pp for the entire day. He took us to snorkeling places and waited for us. The took us on a tour of the island. Best way to see Roatan, IMHO.

Sounds like a great deal. Did the driver speak English and how long did he tour you guys? (We're leaving Saturday on the Sun)

mbisson......We had the driver for the whole day! He spoke English very well, and was driving a Metro Geo(white) that was like new. His name was Enrique Valdez(called himself Rick), and he was posted beyond the outer fence at the Dock. He asked for no money until the trip had concluded. I believe his email address is j8kike@yahoo.com, but I'm waiting on verification. He was an excellent guide!

 

40 bucks for a party of four, for the day, seems the standard there. I heard several others mention the same rate. Enjoy Roatan, it is a beautiful, but poor place.
