Where to stay in Long Beach?

Any recommendations for a hotel in Long Beach - near the Carnival Cruise terminal? We're a family of 4 (have a 9 yr and 14 yr old) and looking for

a moderately priced hotel with continental breakfast and free shuttle to the port and will spend one night before we leave on Carnival Splendor in July.

We just got back from our Splendor sailing on Sunday. We stayed at the Best Western Convention Center in Long Beach. It was very clean, beautiful and had a very nice continental breakfast. Reasonably priced, I believe we paid 90 some odd dollars. We took a taxi to the terminal and it cost us less than 20 bucks, including the tip for the driver. Great experience all around. (except for the scale that was in the bathroom lol...who puts a scale in a hotel bathroom? I'm on vacation!)
