slsa Posted May 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2009 I am going on the RCI Cruise Tour #4 with my Grandparents in July. My Grandma has a bad back and will use a wheelchair for a part of the cruise. Are there any excursions that would be good for her? In ports that would be very easy for her to maneuver on and off ship, etc. I would hate for her to be on the ship the whole time, but I think she feels overwhelmed by the whole process. :-) Thanks! Nancyquilts Posted May 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2009 As another with a bad back, I would look at the tours that seem the least rugged. Many of the easier tours could employ a wheelchair. I would think that the train trip in Skagway would work, as the train comes out to the dock, and there wouldn't be much walking.
floatinrocks Posted May 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2009 The ship excursions should show a wheelchair is they are for people with disabilities of some kind.
