roxsolw100 Posted May 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Second trip to Alaska. Ports include Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka. Sitka is a first for us. We want to fish this trip, no real preference (maybe halibut, one of my wife's favorites). Any recommendations? Thanks.
Marie321 Posted May 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2009 We've fished with Ken of Northern Lights in Ketchikan. Here is a link. http://www.ketchikanfishing.net/ In Sitka, we haven't fished, but we have always enjoyed wildlife watching with Davey of Esther G http://www.puffinsandwhales.com/
itravelak Posted May 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2009 What time of year is your cruise? Ketchikan, and Sitka are supposed to be much better fishing than Juneau. We fished in Ketchikan with Explore Alaska Charters last year. Rick was great. Other members in our group went with First City Charters, and Alaska Fishing Adventures. We all fished together, caught a lot of fish, and had a great time.
ggartner Posted May 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2009 I have booked Luke with sea-runner.com for July 1 in Juneau. Looks to be good value. Several slots left. Hope this helps. Gary
