ZacWolf Posted December 9, 2004 #26 Share Posted December 9, 2004 American Airlines allows 50lbs "domestic", and 70lbs "international". For weight purposes they allow 70lbs for Puerto Rico. We had a bag that was 69 lbs. I wouldn't ever do this again. It made the flight limit, but we had problems with how this bag was handled during the whole trip. It was "lost" in Puerto Rico then showed up several hours later (American did deliver it to the hotel). Even though we were one of the first folks onboard the ship, ort luggage didn't show up till 9pm (we think maybe because of the big bag again) When we got off the ship it looks like it had been dropped from some height as the bottom piece that holds the wheels was busted. It did make it home, but it started as a brand new bag and ended looking ran through the ringer.
